Countertop installation
Installed by the crew that knows the stone.
MAJ installs what MAJ fabricates. The crew that sets your counters is part of the shop that cut them: they know every piece before it comes off the truck, and they set it like they made it. Because they did.

What to expect
Two visits to your space
- Templating day
- Once the cabinets are set and level, we come out and measure. We need the sink, faucet and cooktop specs (or the units themselves) so every cutout is right. Someone who can make decisions should be there.
- Install day
- We bring the finished pieces, set them, level them, join the seams so they're tight and color-matched, and set undermount sinks. Then we clean up.
Before we arrive
A ready space makes a fast install
- Cabinets installed, level and fastened. Stone is heavy and unforgiving of a cabinet that moves.
- Old counters out, unless we're removing them.
- A clear path from the driveway to the room.
- Water shut off at the sink if there's a working fixture.
- Appliances that sit under the counter, like dishwashers, ready to go in after.
Builders and contractors: we'll work to your schedule and coordinate with your other trades. See how we handle that on the builders page.

Questions we get
Do you remove my old countertops?
Tell us when you ask for a quote. Tear-out depends on the old material and what's under it, so we price it with the job rather than guessing.
Do you connect the plumbing?
We cut the sink and faucet openings and set undermount sinks. Hooking up the water and drain is a plumber's job, and we'll tell you when the counters are ready for one.
Can I use the counters right away?
Our crew will tell you before they leave. Seams and sink setting need time to cure, so give them that before heavy use.
What if the room is upstairs or hard to reach?
Tell us about stairs, narrow halls or long carries when you ask for a quote, so we can plan the carry and bring the right number of people.
